The MRV report is owed by 31 March 2026, and an administering authority may pull that date forward, though never before 28 February 2026.

What was checked, and not found

The IMO Net-Zero Framework was approved in April 2025 but never adopted: the extraordinary session of October 2025 adjourned without adopting it, spring 2026 reached no compromise, and as of 23 August 2026 it is not in force, with the resumed session set for 4 December 2026.
